Principal's Message
Hello Ramona families!
My name is Tanya Esqueda, and it is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the proud principal of Ramona Elementary School.
I graduated from UCLA with a major in psychology and a minor in Education. I began my career in education as a high school English and Social Studies teacher while obtaining my teaching credential from Cal State University Dominguez Hills. I was the ELD Specialist/Coach for two years before entering school administration and earning a Master’s Degree and Administrative credential from Cal State University Sacramento. I have 23 years of experience in K-12 education, and it is my mission to provide all of our scholars with high quality learning experiences and a positive learning environment.
During the course of the school year, I will work to provide our scholars with the best opportunities in preparing them to become lifelong learners. I am honored to be part of the Rams community and look forward to collaborating as educational partners for our scholars’ success.
Ms. Esqueda
Principal, Ramona Elementary School
Dear Ramona Rams Families and Students,
My name is Ashley Lucchesi and I have the privilege and honor of serving as your Assistant Principal here at Ramona Elementary School.
I am so excited to begin this journey with each of you as we continue to make Ramona Elementary a place where every student can thrive, grow, and feel a deep sense of belonging. I will do my very best to support your Scholar(s) social/emotional well-being and their academic abilities.
One of the most exciting things this year is our ongoing focus on literacy. We are committed to ensuring that every Ramona student becomes a confident and enthusiastic reader. Our teachers have been working hard to prepare lessons that are engaging and fun, sparking curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
I encourage all of you to join us in fostering a positive and supportive school community. We are all part of the Ramona family, and together, we will make this year unforgettable for our students.
Let’s make this school year one of growth, joy, and achievement. I look forward to seeing each of you on campus soon!
With much Ram PRIDE.
Ms. Lucchesi
